Hi! I am the new publisher for Macaroni KID SE Kansas City, MO! Let me introduce myself – my name is Brittany and I met my husband Eric back in 2012 while working in the finance industry. Fast forward to 2016, and we tied the knot! We are proud parents of two young children, Liam (our four-year-old son) and Willow (our two-year-old daughter), as well as two fur pups senior dogs. Outside of work and family, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, traveling, and planning events. Sipping on a glass of Pinot Grigio is always a good idea, and I also love window shopping, listening to live music, volunteering, and being a big fan of our local sports teams.

Growing up in Johnson County, it took me a while to figure out my calling, but I finally found it! Alongside being a wife and mother, I work as a full-time elementary school social worker and manage our school's social media accounts and newsletters.
I enjoy being an active part of my neighborhood, especially when it comes to event planning. I love discovering new local restaurants and businesses to support. While some may consider me a picky eater, I take pride in exploring our local food scene. I also share a personal blog with a family member, where we write about a wide range of topics. A few years ago, I discovered Macaroni KID while searching for family events to attend. Not only am I the publisher for this area, I also publish Macaroni KID Gardner-Spring Hill-Paola. If that wasn't enough - I am also an assistant for 4 other local Macaroni KID editions: Overland Park-Olathe-Shawnee, Downtown/South Kansas City, the Northland and Kansas City Kansas/Leavenworth, so you might see some crossover content as I know readers are likely to travel to other nearby areas for various attractions & events!
I'm thrilled about the opportunity to get this site up and running again, and and can't wait to create a one-stop-shop for all things local, including events, restaurants, small retail shops, and more.
