Description
Christians meet during Holy Week to remember Jesus' gathering his disciples in an upper room for a special meal before moving toward the events culminating in his crucifixion. It was upon this occasion that Jesus took bread and wine and identified them with himself as a means for remembering him always. Perhaps one of the most iconic and recognizable interpretations of this Biblical scene is Leonardo Da Vinci's late 15th Century painting, The Last Supper.
This dramatization brings to life these events through a living rendition of Da Vinci's painting, and lends voice to those original disciples who followed Jesus.
