Kansas City Restaurant Week is the Perfect Time to Try New Family-Friendly Dining

Starting today you can celebrate Kansas City’s premier dining event at hundreds of restaurants throughout the metro. In case you can't escape for a date night or GNO, we've rounded up the best options for experiencing KC Restaurant Week as a family! From January 12th-21st over 200 restaurants will be offering special menus at reduced prices. And with so many options available, you're sure to find some that are perfect for the whole family.

So make a reservation, load up the kids, and dine out to show your support for KC’s restaurant industry! And remember, a portion of all proceeds benefit local charities, so you'll be dining out for a great cause!

Here are just a few of the many family-friendly restaurants participating in Kansas City Restaurant Week:

Colonial Kitchen  Lunch here for KC Restaurant Week is an excellent choice, due to its commitment to providing a genuine farm-to-table experience. Families can indulge in a culinary journey crafted from the freshest produce directly sourced from the restaurant's own farm. Families can appreciate not only the flavors on their plates but also the ethical and environmentally conscious approach to food sourcing. 

Pinstripes   Pinstripes offers a delightful fusion of culinary excellence and diverse entertainment. Families can indulge in made-from-scratch Italian-American cuisine during the welcoming Sunday Brunch, creating a perfect setting for quality time together. Char Bar Northland – A delightful newcomer to KC Restaurant Week, Char Bar Northland stands out as an excellent family-friendly dining option. Char Bar Northland prides itself on being a mouthwatering culinary experience. Beyond being a place to savor delectable dishes, Char Bar Northland caters to families, making it an ideal choice for those looking to enjoy a delicious meal in a warm and welcoming environmentt. And, they have included a brunch menu for restaurant week, which is always a family favorite!

Transport Brewery –  Emerging as a stellar family-friendly option for KC Restaurant Week, right in Gardner, KS! Boasting a beautiful taproom and a state-of-the-art brewery, this venue provides a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for families to come together and enjoy a delightful dining experience. Partnering with Smoke-N-Seoul in the kitchen ensures a delicious menu to go with your craft beer!

SERV   Looking for a family-friendly haven for a great food and great time with your loved ones? Look no further than SERV! To add a playful touch for all ages, SERV features pickleball—an interactive and family-friendly activity that promises laughter, bonding, and a way to burn off some energy! Elevating the concept of service and entertainment to a whole new level, SERV is the ideal destination for families looking to create lasting memories over KC Restaurant Week.

T-Shotz – T-Shotz is a family entertainment venue in Kansas City, MO. Their Executive Chef designs food and drink menus with everyone in mind. They have handcrafted entrees, and shareable favorites sourced from as many local food providers as possible. Plus, T-Shotz is fun entertainment for the whole family.

Strang Hall – If you have a crew of picky eaters, look no further than Strang Hall, a collective of six chef-driven restaurants under one roof. Their chefs have a passion for creating original, authentic food that you can't find anywhere else in town. The adults can enjoy one of the prix fixe options, and there will be plenty for the kids to choose from. All this in a casual, modern space in the heart of historic Overland Park.

BB’s Lawnside BBQ – This restaurant combines two of KC’s favorite things, BBQ and live music. Live music is Tue – Sat evenings with a cover charge but kids under 12 are free. Sundays they host a solo or duet act and no cover. They say it is a great day to bring the whole family.

Rock & Brews – Staying in the Prairiefire Entertainment District, the Rock & Brews Restaurant has a lot to offer the whole family. They boast a kid-friendly menu and fun Rock ‘n’ Roll memorabilia. The kids are provided not only with a kid’s menu filled with their favorite foods, but also receive rock-themed coloring templates and other swag according to their website.

The Chive Café & Market – This locally owned farm-to-table concept uses as m locally sourced ingredients as possible. They offer stay-awhile indoor seating plus an outdoor patio and activities area. They even have a dog park. This restaurant is located in Grandview, MO

Harvey's at Union Station – If you're in the mood for a great atmosphere with a kid-friendly but slightly upscale feel, Harvey's at Union Station offers a wonderful menu with a variety of selections! From soups and starters to grilled burgers & chicken, plus sandwiches & salads and don't forget desserts too! While you're there you can visit Science City or catch a movie on the Extreme Screen!
