What better way to celebrate Independence Day than with fireworks, friends, BBQs, parades, and family fun? Searching for Fourth of July festivities? Your search ends here. We know some may be heading to neighboring towns to celebrate with loved ones, so we've curated a guide with the top festivities and fireworks displays near and not-so-near. Whether you're a local or a visitor, there's something thrilling for everyone this Independence Day. Be sure to check the dates a few of the events are happening before and after the 4th of July! πŸŽ† Enjoy live music and activities starting at 6pm with food trucks and concessions available and inflatables, games and activities for the kids! Fireworks show starts at dusk, so bring some chairs and the family for a great evening at Recreation Park (1011 S Madison Street, Raymore, MO)!

πŸŽ† Stump Park's (4751 Woodland Drive, Shawnee, KS) annual Parked event begins at 5:30pm with food trucks, a live band, children's activities and a 20-minute firework show starting around 9:30pm.

πŸŽ† Fireworks in the Park at Heisler-Burns Park (405 Park Dr, Buckner, MO) will have food trucks will be available from 5-10pm, and live music will be there from 6-9pm, with fireworks starting at approximately 9:20pm.

πŸŽ† On Saturday, June 29th come to Osawatomie City Lake (32942 W Lakeside Dr., Osawatomie, KS) from 5-10:30pm for their free annual "Lights on the Lake" event. Donations will be welcomed at the entrances. Arrive early to claim your preferred spot for viewing. Enjoy a variety of attractions including food vendors, inflatables, balloon artists, face painting, live entertainment, a stunning fireworks show, and much more! Remember to bring blankets, chairs, sunscreen, and bug spray.

πŸŽ† LifeQuest Church is inviting the community to come enjoy a free fireworks show bounce houses, yard games, and more! The event kicks off at 6:00pm, with Chick-fil-A on scene and their student ministry will also be selling concessions. Tune your radio to 95.1 FM to hear the music playing along with the fireworks! Fireworks will start around 9:30pm at LifeQuest Church (1400 N Scott Ave., Belton, MO).

πŸŽ† This year's Red, White and Blue Springs Celebration will be held at Young Park (1200 SE Adams Dairy Pkwy, Blue Springs, MO). On Wednesday, July 3rd from 3-10pm we'll have a kid's zone, a family zone and an adult zone. Come out and enjoy live music, food trucks, vendors, fireworks, and more!

πŸŽ† Come to Stonehaus Farms Winery (24607 NE Colbern Rd, Lee's Summit, MO) for an unforgettable evening of spectacular fireworks. The fireworks show will start at sundown, and you can also catch a glimpse of the Legacy Park Fireworks Show from our property! The Tasting Room will be open from Noon-10pm with food trucks from 5-9pm. Don't forget your blankets and chairs, and remember that parking is limited so please carpool if possible. Celebrate with us, sip on our finest wines, and enjoy a night under the stars with friends and family!

πŸŽ† Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation and the City of Lee’s Summit invite you to a free fireworks celebration at Legacy Park (1201-1501 NE Legacy Park Dr., Lee's Summit, MO)! The gates open to the park at 6pm, and fireworks begin at 9:30pm. A musically choreographed fireworks display will be simulcast on 94.9 KCMO. Prior to the fireworks, the baseball, soccer, softball, and football fields will have DJs, snacks, food truck vendors, face painting, balloon artists, and inflatables for children 12 and under.

πŸŽ† Join the City of Liberty and the Liberty Area Chamber of Commerce for Liberty Fest, an evening of family fun and fireworks! You must pre-purchase a parking pass in order to manage the event's capacity. Liberty Fest will take place at Capitol Federal Sports Complex (2200 Old State Hwy 210, Liberty, MO) with face painting, inflatables, and more family fun from 6-9pm, live music starts at 8pm, and food trucks will be on site until 10pm when the fireworks show begins.

πŸŽ† Enjoy the annual firework show at Lake Miola (2470 W 299th St, Paola, KS) gates open at 4:30pm!

πŸŽ† Starting at sundown the City of Hiawatha will be holding its annual Independence Day Fireworks display at Noble Ball Park (805 S. Morrill Ave., Hiawatha, KS)

πŸŽ† Start your Independence Day celebrations at Martin Creek Park (20200 Sunflower Rd., Edgerton KS) for this year’s Community Picnic and Fireworks Show. The gates open at 6pm, although parking is limited. Additional parking is available at Big Bull Creek Park, as well as City Hall and Edgerton Elementary (with free shuttles available from 6-11pm). Two Guys and A Grill will be serving hot dogs and hamburgers, chips and water while supplies last. Additionally, we'll have yard games, a DJ, inflatable bounce houses, and face painting. Don’t forget to bring blankets, chairs, sunscreen and extra water. Stay until dark for the best fireworks show in southern Johnson County! The sky lights up around 9:45pm. Join your neighbors for the biggest, loudest event of the year in Edgerton!

πŸŽ† Summerfest is coming to the Douglas County Fairgrounds (2120 Harper Street, Lawrence KS)! As the City of Lawrence’s Independence Day celebration, Summerfest is just like it sounds: a celebration of summer, community, food and music. The evening will include live music, a crafts show, food trucks, the kid zone featuring City Play Corps and Discover with Dole Institute of Politics, and more! The event begins at 3pm and is free to the public.

πŸŽ† Morning Star Church (998 N. 1771 Rd Lawrence, KS) invites you to come celebrate the Fourth of July on Wednesday, July 3rd! This will be a family-friendly event starting at 6pm with inflatable games, kiddie pools, popcorn, and a 20+ foot water slide. We’ll also have food trucks on-site, a corn hole tournament, yard games, and more! Fireworks will launch at dusk, so make sure to bring camping chairs or blankets to watch the show, in addition to swimsuits and towels for kids. Beginning at 5pm, come out for food trucks, face painting, caricatures, mechanical bull rides, rock climbing, bounce houses and more! We'll also have live music at 7pm and fireworks starting around 9:45pm! Free shuttles will picking up/dropping off from the Police Department and American Academy of Physicians from 10am to 11:59pm.

πŸŽ† The fun starts at 6 pm for Basehor’s Red White & Boom at the Field of Dreams Sports Complex (14333 Fairmount Road, Basehor, KS) with plenty of food trucks. Fireworks begin at 9 pm. 

πŸŽ† The Stilwell 4th of July parade (19800 Metcalf Ave., Stilwell, KS) begins at 6pm. Route information is as follows: 192nd Street; South on Metcalf; East on 199th ending at the railroad tracks. Afterwards, enjoy live music by Pompous Jack at Stilwell Station or DJ Feisty Festy at Evergy Service Center (19950 Newton St, Bucyrus, KS). Food trucks will be serving until 9:30pm when the fireworks begin.   

πŸŽ† Grab the kids, your lawn chairs and blankets and head on out to Lewis-Young Park (26600 Jingo Rd, Louisburg, KS) for the annual Freedom Fest celebration. The fun starts at 6pm with great food, fun activities for the kids and musical entertainment before fireworks light up the sky around 9:30pm. We will have games for the kiddos, face painting and give-aways including water, snow cones, popcorn, cotton candy, homemade cookies and more.

πŸŽ† Celebration Park (32501 W. 159th St., Gardner KS) will host Gardner's Annual Independence Day Festival at 5pm with fireworks starting around 10pm! This free, family-friendly event will feature various food vendors, inflatables and multiple country music artists, such as Morgan Evans, George Birge and Big Time Grain Company.

πŸŽ† De Soto’s Fourth of July celebration starts at 7pm with local vendors. Then the fireworks show lights up the sky at approximately 9:45 pm. Don’t forget your lawn chair or blanket and come join us at Riverfest Park (33440 W 79th Street, De Soto, KS).

πŸŽ† Come and enjoy Ottawa's annual firework show. The best locations to catch the show include Forest Park (400 N Locust St, Ottawa, KS) and Orlis Cox Sports Complex (901 W 2nd St, Ottawa, KS)

πŸŽ† Looking for some all day fun and a way to avoid most crowds? Enjoy the 4th of July Celebration at Worlds of Fun (4545 Worlds of Fun Ave, Kansas City MO) and end your day watching their fireworks display.

πŸŽ† The Stars and Stripes Picnic at the National WWI Museum and Memorial (2 Memorial Drive, Kansas City, MO) is Kansas City’s official Independence Day celebration! Bring your friends and family to grab a bite to eat, shop from local vendors, listen to live music and enjoy the largest fireworks display in the city. Grounds open at 3pm for this event!

πŸŽ† Smithville Parks & Rec will host its annual fireworks display at Smith’s Fork Park (1641 MO-DD, Smithville, MO), right on Smithville Lake. The show is set to start at dusk, roughly 9 pm. You can watch the show from the park, on the lake or from the campground.

πŸŽ† Don't miss food, fireworks and fun presented by the Paola Eagles (26433 Eagle Drive, Paola, KS). While this is a free community event, please consider making a donation at the bar in the lounge so we can continue this annual event. Fireworks should start around 9pm.

πŸŽ† Celebrate Independence Day at the 2024 Sparks & Stripes event in Bent Oak Park (1300 SE 30th Street, Oak Grove, MO)! Gates will open at 6pm for all activities and the fireworks will follow later in the evening. There will be several food trucks, face painters, a tethered hot air balloon ride, balloon artists, a DJ playing music throughout the night, and more! 

πŸŽ† The city is partnering with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints’ Independence Stake for the annual Independence Day celebration, which will take place at the Independence Visitor's Center (937 W Walnut St, Independence, MO). There will be live music, a kite display, food trucks and, of course, fireworks. Gates open at 5:30 pm and the show starts at 9:30 pm.

Get ready for a night filled with live music, delicious food from food trucks, and a kid’s zone for the little ones. Party starts at 4:30pm and live music starts at 5pm. Join us at the Baldwin City Golf Course (1102 Main Street, Baldwin City, KS) for an Independence Day celebration that'll make your heart swell with pride and don't forget we're wrapping up the night with a BANG - a grand finale fireworks show at 10pm. 

πŸŽ† VFW Post 1829's (5904 Crystal Ave., Kansas City, MO) Independence Day Celebration begins at 4pm with games, raffles and giveaways. The potluck begins at 6:30pm so be sure to bring a side dish or main entree to share. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the fireworks show which starts at dusk.
